🇮🇪 CLG Átha Troim awarded Joe McDonagh Bronze Medal 🇮🇪
Adding to our phenomenal achievements in 2022, our club has been recognised by GAA Headquarters for promoting our language and culture.
Diarmuid Ó Buachalla (our Oifigeach Cultúr agus Teanga) and Cindí (Coiste Cultúrtha member) were delighted to accept the bronze medal from Pat Carey (Glór na nGael Chairperson ) and Paul Conroy (GAA Irish Language Officer) on behalf of the club at a ceremony in Croke Park in early December.
This initiative promoted by CLG and sponsored by Glór na nGael is in memory of the legend that was Seosamh Mac Donncha (Joe McDonagh), iar-Uachtarán CLG and Galway hurler for whom his native language was very close to his heart.
Go raibh míle maith agat to all who supported us throughout 2022. Special mention to our Minor Hurling Captain Darragh Heffernan who as well as being an outstanding hurler, gave a winning speech - as Gaeilge and as Béarla - which received high commendation right across the County. Maith thú Darragh!
We're hoping to go one step closer to gold in 2023!
