Trim did well to recover possession after Kilmessan went on the attack from the throw in with Conor Heffernan being ever present in the wing back position, Trim taking the first wide of the game but showing excellent strength in front of the Kilmessan defence, an excellent ball in from Jesse O’ Rourke sends Gareth Reilly in perfectly to take the first score of the game.  Seanie Henry, a last-minute addition to the goals, setting up many attacks for Trim with his strong puc out.   Tadhg Foley stepping up to take the first of the dead balls today sees the black spot to get his name on the score sheet in this Div 1 final.   Cormac Walsh using his pace to test the Kilmessan full back line finishing over the bar calmly from a placed ball keeping the scoreboard moving in Trim’s favour.   The defence working brilliantly with turnover after turnover with Kilmessan’s first score coming after nearly 12 minutes of play and a brilliant answer from O’Rourke from the following puc out.   Walsh and Foley causing havoc on the inside line with Kilmessan struggling to answer.   Leon comes forward from his No.6 position and calmly finishes from a 65 adding to his defence work so far.   A great team score sees O’Rourke calmly finish to keep Trim ahead with Kilmessan slowly finding their feet.   A brilliant link up play with Walsh and McCaffery sees Ruairi fire home with a brilliant finish to raise the first & only green flag of the game for Trim.    Henry pulling of a brilliant save denying a certain goal to keep spirits of McCaffery’s goal high.    A brilliant show from the young Trim team sees them going into the second half with a 4 point lead

Trim came back out onto the pitch with the same fire in their belly's winning the throw in but Kilmessan first to move the scoreboard after the restart.    Super work from O’Connor on the full back line sees himself in midfield and with a brilliant turnover sends O’Rourke in for a brilliant long-range score.   Trim finding their feet again in this second half taking their points keeping the small score difference in their favour.    As darkness starts to fall in Navan Kilmessan pile the pressure on the Trim defence asking questions all over the pitch but Trim not afraid of the challenge.    The Trim lads stepping up their game putting in an excellent display of hurling taking control in the Kilmessan half with the young lads stepping up to prove themselves and the older boys keeping it calm and controlled down the spine giving Kilmessan no opportunity to punish the few mistakes that were being made.     Another outstanding save from Henry in the nets gets his clearance straight to the hands of Walsh who calmly taps over another one for his tally.    Trim leaving now no space for complacency keeping the standard of hurling as high as from the first whistle with every player putting in a great shift to claim their second minor title of the week.

A brilliant display of hurling from the lads and a testament to the work being done at Juvenile level in both codes that CLG Átha Troim are now Minor Div 1 Champions in Hurling and Div 2 in Football with promotion now for 2026
