Congratulations to the LGFA U15 team who won their Division final vs Rathoath at home, on Wednesday evening.

The game was a tense affair from the first whistle. It was clear these were two well matched sides, both keen to get their hands on some silverware, and despite the heat of the evening both teams played a high intensity game throughout.

Trim opened the scoring with three unanswered points then came a couple of goals and it was looking like it could be our night. However, Rathoath never dropped their heads and by half time it was down to a two point game, with Trim in front.

In the second half both teams matched each other score for score. Rathoath had a purple patch and with 15 mins to go the sides were level.

Our Trim players had to dig deep and find another gear, and that’s exactly what they did. They were never behind on the scoreboard and after 15 mins of digging deep, and working as one-team, they were four points ahead at the final whistle.

Congrats to all the players, coaches, mentors and FLOs (it takes a village, as they say) 🇲🇨🏐🔴
