FT Trim 1-11 v Blackhall Gaels 1-09  

 

Trim booked their place in the Senior B camogie final in what was a nail-biting victory over Blackhall Gaels on Sunday in Dunganny. This is a brilliant achievement for Trim Camogie with this being the girls first year back in Senior competition and is a really great reward for the work and commitment that they have put in over the last couple of years. 

 

Trim were quick out of the blocks with two well taken points from Emma Hanafin and Shona White in the first couple of minutes of the game. Trim were unlucky not to have a goal when an injury to the Blackhall goalkeeper stopped play as Trim looked certain to score. The prolonged delay seemed to reset the Blackhall players and they proceeded to score 1-04 in the next ten minutes. Trim responded with points from Amy Boyle, Emma and Shona to go in two points down at half time. 

 

HT Trim 0-06 v Blackhall Gaels 1-05  

 

Blackhall got the first score of the second half from a free but Trim quickly responded with a brilliantly taken goal from Anna Foley to level the game. 

 

Both teams traded scores before Trim edged in front with two well taken points from Shona and Amy. The teams were back on parity in the twenty sixth minute after two converted scores from Blackhall. The Trim girls weren’t going to leave this game behind and finished the game strongly with points from Shona and Amy to reach the Senior final. 

 

Trim will look forward to the final against parish neighbours Boardsmill in two weeks.  Lets get a big crowd out to support the girls in their first senior final.
