U15 Hurling Féile na nGael 2022
Our U15 hurlers travelled to St. Patrick’s Stamullen for the Division 3 National Féile na nGael. Under the leadership of Pa Ryan with his experienced team of Joey Cole, Khristian Harris and Neil Cole they were drawn against Na Piarsaigh, Roscommon for their first group match. Against a very strong breeze in the first half, we were behind at half time. The lads came out in the second half and showing great spirit, pulled off a great win. A tremendous start to our Féile journey! Next up was our neighbours Ó Mathúna from Navan and again the lads showed great character to come from behind to win by 2 points. Congratulations to O’Mahonys who went on to win the Shield final. Our final group game was against Rock Parnells from Arklow, Co. Wicklow. The boys from the Garden County got off to a great start. A gale force wind and torrential rain made conditions very difficult in the second half but the team dug deep and again came out on top. Qualifying for the Cup competition, we were drawn against Mount Leinster Rangers from Co. Carlow. This was a challenging encounter against a strong hurling county with Trim showing great determination to make the final. There was great excitement amongst the large group of Trim supporters when the final whistle sounded sending Trim to the Division 3 Cup National Féile final. In the final, the lads battled to the end but unfortunately it was Tralee Parnells day who were crowned the Division 3 champions.
A fantastic achievement for our Trim U15s to reach a National final - we couldn’t have been more proud. Congratulations to Pa, Joey, Khristian, Neil and most importantly our U15 hurlers. Áth Troim Abú! 🔴⚪️🔴⚪️
