A very Important letter of huge historical value To Trim Gaa Club has been located over the past couple of days. This important historical artifact was given to the club by Mona MCEvoy.
“It dates back to 1937 and chronicles the start of the process which led to the acquisition of the original 10 acre landholding which we now know as St. Loman’s Park.
This application was made on behalf of the Club by Michael Leonard, otherwise known as Mick, (The Steps).
This man was to the forefront of our Club for a generation along with his great friend and colleague, Paddy Yore.
For almost half a century, these two men guided our Club through tough times and while faced with many obstacles, they always worked with the principles of our Club to the fore.
We are indeed hugely grateful and appreciative of the work that Mick and Paddy selflessly put in and laid the foundations of the present St Loman’s Park the home of The Red & White’s.
