Trim GAA ‘Safe return to Play’ Guideline Update 20/08/20

In light of Government announcement (18/08/20) please note the following amendments to our ‘Safe return to play’guidelines. These guidelines apply to ALL CODES AT ALL LEVELS. Lead Coach for each team is responsible for overseeing that guidelines are adhered to with immediate effect: however all involved in the club (players, coaches,parents, etc.) have a personal responsibility to ensure that they adhere to these guidelines at all times.

1. Training to take place in pods of 15 persons or under(including coaches). No crossover of players or team personnel between pods. Coaches are responsible for marking out pod area and ensuring that players stay in pod. Contact drills and games permitted currently at training but only within your own pod. 2. No spectators permitted at games. The only exception is at juvenile fixtures where one parent of a player may attend if necessary. Coaches will put this in their message to players /parents before each session or game. 3. Max 40 persons permitted per team for games to include players, coaches, and team personnel such as Covid supervisor etc. (This is in addition to essential match day personnel: ref, umpires, stewards, media etc. - see GAA statement from Tom Ryan and John Horan for full details.)4. Covid supervisor responsible for checking health status in place for each player and coach on Trim team before game /session commences. Players / parents responsible for completing on the day of each session or game. 5. Coaches and Covid supervisors must ensure that sessionsand games start on time and that teams leave the grounds via correct gate as soon as the session/game ends to allow next group in without crossover.6. As per revised booking guidelines (Autumn 2020)coaches organising matches must check training / match schedule and ensure impacted coaches in agreement before confirming any fixture. Players / parents are encouraged to wait in their cars if they arrive ahead of scheduled times and reminded not to car share.  Coaches will put this in their message to players/ parents before each session or game.8. Coaches and Covid supervisors to enforce all previously agreed measures aimed at minimising the risk of Covid-19 : Hand washing , cough etiquette , social distancing , hand sanitising , cleaning of equipment and touch points, individual bottles , minimum equipment, no transferring of jerseys or bibs etc.
