Trim 4-11 Don/Ash 2-9

Our Premier Junior Div 8 team got the weekend off to a great start with a great victory over Don/Ash this evening in St Loman’s park. The team and especially Manager Kenny Morgan were under serious pressure within the club as they were the only team without a win in the championship. Our intermediate and Junior Football teams won there first round matches , our Three adult hurling teams won last weekend but Kenny’s team were the only team not to win. In fairness to Kenny he restructured his team this evening and it paid rich dividends. Peter Farrell was on fire and hit 3-2 , Super sup and play maker Andy O’Brien scorEd five points from play after been introduced in the tenth minute. This was a great footballing performance and gets the team back on track for championship honors. Best for the Reds other than Farrell and O’Brien were Mark Dempsey , David Murtagh, Johnny McEvoy , Mark Murray, The two Cian Walshe’s, and Brian McKeow.
