Welcome Back!

After months of inactivity on our pitches. we are working on re-opening the club in the safest and most efficient way. We have a small group working through the GAA “Safe Return to Gaelic Games” updated guidelines. There have been some changes to the guidelines in recent days; the plan below reflects most recent guidelines, we’ll try to keep you posted if anything else changes. Needless to say, our plan will be superseded by any changes to Government advice.

24th June: The gradual re-opening of our club and the resumption of training. Bear in mind, dressing rooms, gym and clubhouse will remain closed at this point, and until further notice.

For the first few days training will be confined to adult teams. Players will need to arrive dressed ready to train. The following is the schedule for the coming days!

Weds June 24th – Adult Ladies

Thurs June 25th – Adult Football & Hurling

Friday June 26th – Adult Camogie

Training will be non-contact for all teams until June 29th.

From Monday June 29th we will start to welcome back our underage teams on a phased basis. The following is the planned schedule for teams returning to activity;

- From June 29th underage teams from U-14 upwards;

- From July 13th underage teams from U-12 upwards;

- From July 20th all underage teams return to training

Protocols for return to training: The safety of members and their families remains paramount. To facilitate the safe opening of our grounds the following protocols will need to be strictly applied consistently across all teams/codes

ü All players, coaches and mentors entering the grounds will need to complete the GAA Covid-19 education module at https://courses.gaa.ie/Covis19ClubEd/#/ and retain the certificate of completion (This takes approx. 20-25 minutes). For all underage players, this needs to be completed in conjunction with Parents/Guardians.

ü Complete the initial online health assessment. This will be available online from June 23rd at XXXX.

ü Arrive at grounds on time, and ready to train

ü Entry to the grounds will be through main entrance only (beside turnstiles), with exit only permitted at the gate at the back of the main hall.

ü Players will present themselves on arrival to the team Covid Supervisor, who will confirm that the online course and health assessments has been completed prior to the player being allowed to train

ü Parents / Guardians who are dropping off children should not leave the car park until their child has been admitted to the grounds

ü A one-way system will be in operation in the car park to manage traffic flow.

ü In the current phase, it is not possible for Parent/Guardian to attend training as spectator

ü All Managers must use The Clubzap App for all team communications. Clubzap is fully GDPR compliant and also has Contact Tracing and record of attendance at training.

In order to resume our games safely and in a manner fitting with the requirements of the GAA, each team has to have 2 COVID supervisors. Contact your team manager if you can help with this role.
