A tough outing on Sunday for our second U13 team, who faced a Carnlough Gaels side composed entirely of U14 players in brutal conditions. Battling into a strong wind and driving rain, the lads were up against it from the off against the division’s table toppers. They showed real character in the second half though, giving a much better account of themselves as the game wore on. 

🔴⚪ The U14 white team headed for Drumbaragh last Sunday morning for a match V’s Round Towers. 

A very entertaining match saw Trim face into a tough breeze in the first half and they found themselves 6 points down at half time with Round Towers taking advantage of the strong wind to score a number of two pointers. 

The second half saw some excellent football from Trim with a number of team scores and a couple of two point scores of their own meant the game was brought down to the wire. 

Unfortunately, Round Towers came out on top by 3 points at full time, with Trim unlucky not to get something from the game.

Overall, the coaches were very impressed with the performance with ball in hand and the team will work on the small margins required to improve while out of possession.
