"Junior Ladies Show Great Heart but Fall short Against Navan"
Our Junior ladies showed huge heart in their Junior A Championship clash with Navan.
Navan opened with two early points, but Trim struck back when Chantel buried a brilliant goal to ignite the game. From there, Ellen took charge on the scoreboard, knocking over a series of superb frees and points to keep Trim right in the mix, showing serious accuracy and nerve. Despite Navan finding a couple of goals before the break, Trim’s work rate never dipped and they went in at halftime just two points behind—well within reach.
After the break, Navan found another goal, but Ellen responded once again with a point to settle Trim. The real turning point came when Navan were awarded a penalty, and the momentum shifted from there. Still, Trim’s intensity never wavered. Leah, lining out at full forward, rounded off the Trim scoring with a well-taken point late on, a testament to the fight shown right to the end.
While the result didn’t go our way, the performance was packed with positives. There’s plenty to build on as the Championship continues - this group isn’t done yet.
