Trim claimed a strong win over Ratoath in Round 4 of the Junior A Championship after a spirited performance from start to finish.

Ratoath were first on the scoreboard with an early point, but Trim quickly settled.  A free from Deirbhile found Nessa, who slotted it straight over the bar.  Ellen won the puck-out and immediately added another score, followed in quick succession by points from Nessa and Ellen again.  Despite a Ratoath goal before the break, Trim held their own going into halftime.

Ellen opened the second half with a pointed free, quickly followed by a fine effort from Leah.  Another long-range free from Ellen kept the scoreboard ticking. A goal chance went narrowly wide after strong Ratoath defending, but Trim’s pressure soon paid off.  Leah Boyle showed determination against three defenders, pulling hard on the ground ball and driving it to the back of the net. Moments later, Nessa set up Ellen for a well-taken goal to stretch Trim’s lead.

Ratoath responded with two points, but Trim wasn’t finished yet.  Ellen added another free, and Evelyn sent in a clever ball for Leah to add to the tally once more. Chantel’s goal chance was cut short when the Ratoath keeper dived straight on top the ball, resulting in a penalty taken by Ellen to secure Trim’s third goal sealing their victory.

A great team effort sees Trim run out deserving winners.
