Trim secured another strong result in the third round of the Senior B Camogie Championship with a 3-8 to 0-9 win over Clann na nGael on a challenging wet and windy day.

Playing with the breeze in the first half, Trim made a confident start. Shona struck early with a goal from a free, setting the tone. Soon after, Emma Hanifin added another goal to give Trim early control of the scoreboard. Despite tricky conditions, Trim made the most of the wind advantage, going into the break with a deserved lead of 2-5 to 0-6.

Facing into the breeze in the second half, Trim knew they would be under pressure—and Clann na nGael responded well, notching three early points to close the gap.  However, Trim’s defence stood firm, with Lauren Farrell putting in several key tackles and Leighann clearing her lines with real composure.

Trim soon settled again, helped by a clever ball from Alex that dropped into the danger area, allowing Emma Hanifin to add a well-taken point. Hanifin continued to lead the forward line and chipped in with another fine score to keep the scoreboard ticking.

The decisive moment came when Ellen Murray fired home Trim’s third goal, restoring a comfortable cushion. The team’s work rate remained high, with Katie Holden producing a brilliant block late on to deny a scoring chance.

One of the standout performances on the day came from Amy Boyle, who was relentless in attack and tireless in her support play. Amy’s movement off the ball consistently opened up space for her teammates, and she capped her performance with a beautifully taken point in the final minutes. Her composure and drive were instrumental in maintaining Trim’s momentum throughout the second half.

While the girls will be pleased with the result, they’ll know there’s still room to improve and sharpen their performance heading into the next round. With their quality and determination, they'll be rearing to go again and looking to raise the bar further in the games to come.
