From the throw in Killyon coming out the stronger of the first wet ball with a sloppy free to open up the scoring for the away side. A warm welcome back for James Murray sees him take 2 points in quick to reply to put the home side 1 point ahead.
Killyon defence keeping the trim lads out but Trim punishing every mistake. A lovely ball in from Kyle sends Birmingham in to fire home to raise the green flag. This goal instantly lifting the Trim spirits with Conor Quigley taking 2 lovely points in succession to widen the gap.
Trim mid field and half forward line working brilliantly together to stop the out ball from the Killyon defence with James Murray keeping the score board moving in Trims favour.
Miscommunication on the Trim behalf leads Killyon to the net to raise their own green flag. Closing the gap completely it livens the Trim lads again with 4 more quick fire scores, James Toher sees himself leading from the back as usual with the pitch opening up for his own score. Cathal O’Reilly takes on a brilliant run beating his marker playing the ball into Kyle Ennis leaving no chance for the goalie for Trims second goal of the half . Quigley opens up the Trim scoring in the second half using the restart to their advantage taking complete control in the Killyon half. A brilliant score from Birmingham from the sideline. Brilliant defence work from Dimmy Higgins and Gerry Dwane keeps Eoin O’Reilly protected in the goals and creates many chances for the half forward line punishing almost every time or drawing the free.
With his puc outs on top form tonight Eoin O Reilly leads to a brilliant team score with James Murray getting the last strike. Going turnover after turnover Trim takes over between the half back and the mid field. As Daniel Fox joins the play the puc out lands straight to him with a quick pass another brilliant team score tips over the bar and Trim take the win on the final whistle.
