Trim welcomed Bhulf Tóns to St Loman’s Park on a old Friday evening for their first round in the Division 5 league.
It was Trim who added to the scoreboard first when Emma O Neill set the tone early for Trim putting over the first point of the game. Trim were looking very comfortable and held the lead by keeping the score board ticking over with Emma and Chantel Massey putting over 5 more points in quick succession. Despite Bhulf Tóns response in narrowing the gap by converting four frees, Trim's Mischa Beggs added to the tally, leading to a half time score of 0:08 to 0:04 in Trim's favour
The second half started off with Trim making a few changes to their lineup. Early on Bhulf Tóns capitalised on their opportunities with two well-executed frees, narrowing the gap to just two points. However, Trim was undeterred, maintaining relentless pressure. Elizah Douglas sparked the momentum with a crucial point from play, while Ellen Birmingham's precision with two frees further solidified Trim's position in taking back control of the game. The highlight came when Chantel Massey, capitalizing on an exceptional pass from Elizah, delivered to the back of the net in the 26th minute, extending their lead.
Trim's determination was unwavering until the final whistle, with Ellen adding another point to seal their well-earned victory.
