🔴⚾ MATCH REPORT U/15 LEAGUE SHIELD FINAL Áth Troim v Dunboyne
⚾ A great performance from our U/15 girls in the D2 shield final on Sunday, a super effort on a very warm day. Our girls were sharp from the off against a strong Dunboyne team that fought hard right to the end. Shona McCaffrey was very solid in goals and had great help from a very resolute full back line of Kayleigh Massey, Nessa Slattery and Ailbhe Hannon. Leah Farrell, Ellen Murray and Mya O’Donoghue were rock solid all day and cleared many dangerous Dunboyne attacks. Ellie Saunders and Kayleigh Garry O’Callaghan covered every inch of Trims main pitch and were helped by the work rate of Charley Ayton, Evelyn Williams Byrne and Lauren Cosgrave. On a day when a water break was needed in the 2nd half this was a real team effort and Emily O’Donovan, Anna Gibney and Aoibh Quinn all put their shoulder to the wheel. The inside line caused problems for Dunboyne all day with Nova Sherwin and Caoimhe Barry doing great work and Aoibhinn Ennis having a great day in front of the posts.
🔴 Captain Caoimhe Barry collected the trophy on behalf of the girls who now look forward to their Feile competition next weekend.
